MAGPUL B.A.D. LEVER BLK

Description

The Magpul B.A.D. Lever attaches to the existing bolt catch paddle on AR-15 and M4 platform rifles, extending a lever down and forward so that the trigger finger can both release and lock the bolt from the control position — without breaking the firing grip or entering the trigger guard. That single change meaningfully speeds up reloads and malfunction clearances, because the shooter no longer has to shift the hand or redirect attention to the left side of the receiver.

The lever wraps around in a way that preserves every traditional bolt catch technique already in muscle memory. The ridged paddle at the bottom gives the trigger finger a positive surface for a sweeping release motion, while the textured face at the top maintains traction for the conventional palm-slap method. A flat section on the lever also lets a left-handed shooter depress it without reaching inside the trigger guard, so the design functions on both sides without requiring separate components.

Construction is billet 6061-T6 aluminum machined to a thin, snag-resistant profile and finished with MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hard anodizing — the same hard-coat specification used on mil-spec components. The mounting screw receives manganese phosphate per MIL-DTL-16232G and is fitted with a Nyloc Blue patch to resist backing out under recoil. Installation requires only the included Torx wrench and one screw into the existing bolt catch paddle, with no permanent modification to the firearm. Compatible with mil-spec forged upper and lower receivers.
