Description

The Medium DAKA Lite Pouch is built for situations where the weight of your gear matters as much as the gear itself. Backpacking, hunting, bikepacking, or any activity where you’re moving under your own power — this is the pouch that doesn’t penalize you for carrying it. Magpul designed it as a lighter, more compressible alternative to their original DAKA line, trading some rigidity for significant reductions in bulk and mass, which makes it easy to flatten into a day pack, hunting bag, or duffel when it isn’t in use.

The shell is 70-denier TPU-coated nylon — a material choice that keeps the pouch genuinely pliable in cold conditions while still resisting moisture and abrasion. Rather than stitched seams, Magpul uses RF welding throughout the construction. That process bonds the nylon panels using radio-frequency energy rather than thread, which eliminates needle holes entirely and produces a seam that won’t wick water or degrade with repeated flexing. The result is a lighter join than stitching and one that holds its integrity under sustained use.

The zipper is a YKK AquaGuard water-repellant unit, which keeps incidental moisture out without requiring a separate zipper cover. The pull is injection-molded with a Magpul emboss, so it’s easy to locate and grip with gloves on. Integrated carabiner attachment points let you clip the pouch to a pack loop or gear ring rather than burying it at the bottom of a bag — useful when you need to pull it quickly in the field. At roughly two ounces, it carries electronics, first aid supplies, or compact emergency gear without you noticing the weight until you take it off.
