Description
The Safariland Schema is an inside-the-waistband holster built around the practical demands of everyday concealed carry with the Sig Sauer P365XL. Where many IWB designs carry over the bulk of outside-the-waistband construction, the Schema is engineered from the start with a smaller footprint, keeping the overall package closer to the body and reducing printing under a cover garment. That reduced profile matters most for all-day carry, where holster bulk becomes a genuine comfort and concealment concern.
Retention is passive, meaning the holster secures the pistol through a precise fit to the P365XL’s frame and trigger guard rather than through a mechanical lever or thumb break. The draw is consistent and repeatable without requiring a separate deactivation step, which suits carriers who want a straightforward presentation under stress. The trade-off is that passive retention requires a well-fitted holster to work correctly — the Schema is cut specifically for the P365XL, so fitment is not adjustable across other platforms.
For shooters who run a miniature red dot on their P365XL, the Schema is optic-compatible and accommodates a range of popular footprints including the Romeo Zero, RMR CC, Shield RMS, Shield RMS-C, Swampfox Sentinel, Hex Wasp, Holosun 407K, Holosun 507K, J-Point, and Crimson Trace 1550. This avoids the common problem of having to choose between running an optic and retaining a usable holster. This variant is configured for right-hand draw in black finish.
