The fabric is a polymer-infused textile, which gives it rigidity and resistance to abrasion that plain woven nylon lacks. Rather than stitched seams — which admit moisture and eventually fail under repeated stress — the DAKA uses welded construction throughout. Welded seams create a continuous bond across the full seam line, eliminating the needle holes that stitching requires and producing a join that resists both water infiltration and mechanical separation. The result is not a fully submersible enclosure, but it will shed rain, splashing, and the kind of incidental wet exposure that ruins unprotected paperwork or electronics.

The zipper is a genuine YKK AquaGuard, a water-repellant zipper designed to resist moisture at the closure point itself, which is typically the first place a pouch fails in wet conditions. The pull is fitted with 550 paracord wrapped in heat-shrink tubing, so it stays manageable with gloved hands. A debossed dot-matrix panel on the body accepts paint pen markings for labeling pouches when you are running multiples. Carabiner attachment points let it hang from a pack, a rig, or a range bag without occupying interior space.
