Description
The Cole-TAC Varmint Wrangler XL is a chest-mount pistol holster built for working in the field — ranchers dealing with predators, backcountry hunters, or anyone who needs a sidearm accessible while their hands are occupied with other gear. Wearing a pistol on your chest puts the draw within reach regardless of what you are carrying on your back or how thick your outerwear is, which a hip holster simply cannot match in those conditions.
The XL designation matters because this holster is sized to accommodate suppressed centerfire pistols. A suppressor adds significant length to the muzzle end of any handgun, and most standard chest or shoulder rigs are not designed with that geometry in mind. The Varmint Wrangler XL accounts for that added length so the pistol seats securely rather than riding loose or catching on the retention system.
This configuration is right-hand draw and finished in black. Cole-TAC offers the Varmint Wrangler XL across several colors and both orientations, so the variant here is specific — if your kit or preference calls for a different color or left-hand draw, those are separate SKUs. The chest-mount format positions the holster centrally on the torso, where it stays put during active movement and remains accessible whether you are seated in a vehicle, glassing from prone, or working through thick brush.
