Description

The Magpul DT Carbine Stock is built for shooters who want the smooth, one-handed adjustability of a friction-lock design without accepting any slop or rattle in the locked position. It fits mil-spec receiver extension tubes and installs as a direct drop-in replacement, so there is no fitting or modification required.

The core of the DT is what Magpul calls dual tensioning technology, which draws on the design logic of both the SL and CTR stocks. The SL prioritized effortless length-of-pull changes by eliminating the manual secondary friction lever; the CTR added a locking latch to tighten the stock against the buffer tube under recoil. The DT combines both approaches through an auto-engaging friction lock that cinches onto the tube automatically when you settle into position. You get the tight, rattle-free lockup associated with the CTR without reaching for a secondary lock, and adjustment stays quick and smooth because there is nothing manual to release first.

The A-frame geometry distributes contact across a wider footprint on the tube, which helps resist twisting forces during hard use and adds durability if the rifle takes an impact. The stock is polymer construction throughout, keeping weight down while maintaining the structural integrity Magpul builds into the platform. This Black version carries the mil-spec tube specification, so it is a straightforward fit on the vast majority of AR-pattern carbines running standard lower receivers.
