The stock is constructed around an aluminum chassis bedded inside a synthetic shell. That combination matters because a rigid aluminum chassis reduces flex under load and gives the action a more consistent bearing surface than a stock that relies on polymer alone, which tends to shift with temperature changes and accumulated field wear.
