Description
The Magpul MOE-EVO Enhanced Magazine Release is a direct-fit upgrade for the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 family, addressing one of the most common functional complaints about the platform: the stock magazine release is neither easily reached nor well-suited to one-handed operation. This replacement is built around a paddle geometry that shifts activation away from a precise button-press and toward a broader, more forgiving lever stroke — the kind of motion that works under stress, with gloves on, or when the support hand is occupied.
The paddle extends far enough to engage with either thumb without repositioning your grip, making the release genuinely ambidextrous in practice rather than just in marketing language. Textured ridges across the contact surface maintain purchase whether your hands are dry or damp, and the overall profile stays low enough that it does not snag on gear during normal handling. The lever angle is optimized so that the natural direction of thumb travel lines up with the release motion, reducing the effort required to break contact between magazine and receiver.
Construction is high-strength polymer throughout, keeping weight negligible while providing the rigidity needed for reliable, repeatable actuation. Installation uses the factory spring and requires only a 5/32-inch roll pin punch — no gunsmithing, no permanent modification to the host firearm. The MOE-EVO is compatible with the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 pistol and carbine variants; it is not confirmed compatible with the EVO 3+ platform due to trigger guard and button geometry changes introduced on that model.
