Description

The Magpul MOE K2-XL is built for shooters with larger hands who find standard AR pistol grips too narrow for consistent trigger control and comfortable hold. Where the original K2 already moved away from the traditional M4 grip angle toward a more vertical orientation — which suits carbines set up for shorter lengths of pull and closer-range work — the K2-XL takes that same geometry and scales the overall profile up by 25%. That extra girth lets the shooting hand sit higher and more naturally, which in turn puts the trigger finger at a more mechanically consistent contact point on the trigger face rather than forcing compensation through grip pressure or wrist angle.

The texturing is a combination of front and rear serrations and Magpul’s TSP (Trapezoidal Surface Projections) pattern across the sides. TSP geometry grips skin and glove material mechanically rather than relying on simple roughness, so it stays effective when hands are wet or sweaty without being abrasive during extended handling. An enhanced beavertail backstrap raises the hand’s purchase point on the grip, which reduces muzzle rise by keeping the bore axis closer in line with the forearm.

The grip core cavity houses an included oil bottle — a small but practical detail that keeps a field lubricant accessible without adding external hardware. The XL-specific grip cap is not interchangeable with the standard K2 cap, so replacements need to be sourced accordingly. Construction is polymer throughout, and the grip is made in the United States. Included hardware covers the grip screw and lock washer for a direct drop-in installation on any mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver.
