Description
The B5 Systems P-Grip in Type 22 geometry is built for AR-platform shooters who want a more vertical grip angle than the standard A2 configuration provides. The increased verticality shifts the wrist into a straighter, more neutral position, which reduces fatigue during extended handling and gives the trigger hand a more consistent reference point shot to shot. There is no backstrap, which is a deliberate choice: removing it opens up clearance for larger hands and eliminates the pressure point that some shooters notice during sustained firing.
The grip is molded from polymer with an aggressively textured surface. That texture is functional rather than decorative — it maintains purchase in wet conditions or when gloves are in the picture, without being abrasive enough to cause discomfort during bare-handed use. The MultiCam pattern is integrated into the material rather than painted on, so it will not chip or wear away with normal handling.
B5 Systems built this grip around standard AR lower receiver geometry, so installation is straightforward and requires no modification to the receiver. It fits the same hardware as the factory grip it replaces. The Type 22 designation refers to the grip angle variant within B5’s P-Grip line, distinguishing it from their other geometry options. For shooters running a MultiCam-patterned rifle build, the P-Grip lets the furniture match without resorting to aftermarket paint or wrap tape.
