Description

The Magpul MOE M-LOK Hand Guard in Carbine-Length is a direct-fit replacement for the standard two-piece plastic hand guard found on M4-pattern AR-15 rifles. It installs without any barrel nut removal or specialized tooling — the existing delta ring and front hand guard retaining cap (round or triangular) do the work, which keeps the swap straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic AR maintenance.

Where the original equipment hand guard offers nothing but a grip surface, the M-LOK slots at the two, six, and ten o’clock positions open the rail real estate question back up. Rather than committing to a full Picatinny rail run that adds weight whether you use it or not, M-LOK lets you mount only what you actually attach — a light, a sling stud, a grip — directly to the hand guard without an intermediary adapter eating into your clearance or your budget. Optional 1913 Picatinny rail sections are available separately if you need them at a specific position.

The body is reinforced, heat-resistant polymer, and a riveted aluminum heat shield inside manages the thermal load from the barrel and gas block during sustained fire. The front lip and side extensions add a degree of separation between your support hand and a hot front sight assembly — a practical consideration on a carbine-length platform where the gas block sits close to where the hand naturally rests. A relieved area at the top rear keeps clearance for optic mounts that overhang the upper receiver.
