Description

The Magpul MOE Carbine Stock is a stripped-down, mil-spec buttstock built for AR-15 carbines where reliability and low weight matter more than extra features. It fits mil-spec diameter receiver extension tubes from standard manufacturers and installs without modification. If your goal is a functional, no-frills build rather than a feature-loaded competition setup, this stock covers the brief without excess bulk or cost.

The A-frame profile does two things at once: it wraps around the adjustment release lever so the latch stays protected from incidental contact during handling, and it keeps the overall shape snag-free when moving with the rifle. Adjustment is handled by an ambidextrous release latch, so either hand can operate it without regripping. A chrome-silicon lock spring — a harder, more fatigue-resistant alloy than standard steel — holds the selected position firmly and resists the gradual creep that causes a stock to shift under recoil over time.

The cheek weld is deliberately sloped rather than flat, trading some rigidity of face contact for a more comfortable sustained position. The 0.30-inch rubber butt-pad is removable, which matters if you want to replace it with a thicker pad or fit CTR Cheek Risers for use with an optic. Sling attachment is handled through a pair of 1.25-inch loops and a lanyard hole at the toe, and the stock is compatible with Magpul ASAP and ASAP QD receiver-end sling mounts. This particular variant is finished in Olive Drab Green, Magpul’s ODG colorway, and carries a National Stock Number for mil/gov procurement use.
