The Magpul MOE X-22 is a purpose-built stock for the Ruger 10/22 platform, aimed at shooters who want a more ergonomic, task-oriented chassis without moving into the premium price tier. It replaces the factory stock with a fixed, polymer-bodied design that keeps weight down — 18.9 ounces — so the rifle stays easy to carry through a long range session or a day in the field. The fixed geometry is a deliberate choice: it eliminates the flex and rattle that adjustable stocks can introduce, and the 13.5-inch length of pull fits a broad range of adult shooters without modification.

Two M-LOK slots at the 6 o’clock position give you a direct, low-profile mounting point for a bipod, sling attachment, or light — no adapter rails required. The barrel channel accepts both the factory pencil profile and aftermarket bull barrels up to 0.920 inches in diameter, with a minimum length of 12.5 inches; two interchangeable barrel trays are included so you can swap between profiles without sourcing extra hardware. That flexibility matters if you’re building a dedicated small-game or target rifle and want to run a heavier barrel without committing to a different stock entirely.

Magpul’s TSP grip texture improves purchase in wet or cold conditions without being abrasive on bare hands.
