Description

The PMAG 30 GEN M3 in Multi-Cam Black is Magpul’s current-generation polymer magazine for AR-15 and M4-pattern rifles chambered in 5.56×45 NATO and .223 Remington. It fits the same role as a standard USGI magazine but is built from a more impact-resistant polymer compound with a redesigned internal geometry that curves consistently from top to bottom, keeping rounds properly aligned during feeding rather than relying on a follower to compensate for inconsistent wall geometry.

The anti-tilt follower addresses one of the more common failure points in AR magazines: a follower that cants under spring pressure can slow or misdirect the top round, particularly during rapid strings. Magpul’s four-way anti-tilt design constrains the follower on both axes so it tracks straight throughout the entire capacity. The stainless steel spring is wound to USGI specification, which means it maintains consistent tension across the full range of rounds loaded.

Tool-less disassembly lets you pull the floorplate, spring, and follower for cleaning without any additional equipment. The redesigned bolt catch notch gives the bolt catch more clearance on compatible lowers, reducing the chance of the magazine interfering with bolt hold-open function. An over-travel stop on the spine prevents the magazine from seating too deeply on platforms where that would otherwise be an issue.

The flared floorplate makes stripping a spent magazine faster under gloves and adds some drop protection if the magazine hits a hard surface after ejection. The front and rear texture panels are aggressive enough to register through gloves without being abrasive to bare hands during handling. A dot matrix on the bottom panel gives you a place to mark the magazine for inventory or load identification without permanent modification.
