Description
CMMG’s Gen II 9mm magazine is built specifically for shooters running a CMMG Radial Delayed Blowback upper on an Mk4 or standard AR-15 lower receiver. It is not a drop-in replacement for a generic 9mm AR setup — the design is matched to the geometry and feeding requirements of the RDB system, so pairing it with a non-CMMG 9mm upper is not something CMMG supports or intends.
The jump from the Gen I to the Gen II brought a capacity increase from 30 to 33 rounds without a meaningful change to the magazine’s external footprint. That matters in practice because the exterior dimensions are kept close to a standard 5.56 AR-15 magazine, meaning existing mag pouches, chest rigs, and plate carrier inserts sized for 5.56 mags will generally accommodate these without modification or a dedicated pistol-caliber pouch.
Construction is polymer, which keeps weight down and resists corrosion in field conditions. The finish is Armor Black. Every CMMG magazine ships with the company’s Lifetime Quality Guarantee covering material and workmanship defects — not a limited warranty with a time window, but a standing guarantee tied to the product for as long as you own it.
If you’re building out a 9mm PCC on the CMMG RDB platform and want higher-capacity magazines that work with your existing gear, these are the purpose-built option rather than an adaptation.
