Description

The 300 Blackout cartridge was engineered to handle an unusually wide range of projectile weights and profiles, from light supersonic loads to heavy subsonic rounds. That variance creates a feeding geometry problem that a standard 5.56 PMAG is not designed to solve. Magpul built the PMAG 30 AR 300 B GEN M3 specifically around that challenge, using a modified internal geometry with a patented design that accommodates the dimensional differences between 300 BLK loads rather than forcing the cartridge to conform to a magazine optimized for something else.

Beyond feeding reliability, there is a serious safety consideration: a 300 Blackout round can chamber in a 5.56 NATO rifle with catastrophic results. To reduce the risk of grabbing the wrong magazine under stress, Magpul gave this PMAG a distinct external rib and a smooth upper-body texture that set it apart from other PMAGs both visually and by feel. The difference registers before you look down.

Construction follows the GEN M3 standard throughout. The polymer is formulated for impact and crush resistance, the front and rear grip texture is aggressive, and the floor plate is slim and removable for cleaning without tools. An anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower and a USGI-spec stainless steel spring handle feeding duties. Paint pen dot matrix panels are included for marking and identification. The magazine is compatible with the full range of PMAG accessories and Tactile Lock Plates, and it is made in the USA.
