Description
The Magpul TMAG Gen M3 solves a problem that standard opaque magazines cannot: confirming what you have loaded and how much of it remains without removing the magazine from the rifle. The Olive Drab Translucent polymer body lets you read ammunition type and approximate round count at a glance, and a white-painted spring coil acts as a built-in gauge, so even if the lower receiver blocks part of your view, the spring position tells you where you stand on rounds remaining.
Translucent magazines have historically traded durability for visibility, but the TMAG Gen M3 uses a proprietary polymer formulation engineered to hold up against impacts, pressure, and environmental debris — the same demands that the GEN M3 PMAG line is built around. It is the only translucent AR/M4 magazine to have passed all TOP 3-2-045 military specification tests, which puts it on the same functional footing as standard-issue polymer magazines rather than in a separate category of range-only novelties.
Internally, the geometry mirrors that of the GEN M3 PMAG: a four-way anti-tilt follower keeps rounds feeding consistently regardless of how the magazine is oriented, and a USGI-spec stainless-steel spring maintains reliable tension through the full stack. The exterior is ribbed at the front and rear straps for a positive grip during reloads, while the sides are left smooth to maximize the viewing area. A paint-pen dot matrix on the body allows you to mark load type or ownership without obscuring your round count view. The low-profile removable floorplate is compatible with most standard magazine pouches and with GEN M3 PMAG accessories. Primary compatibility is with Colt-spec AR/M4 platforms, with additional fit for the HK 416, MR556A1, M27 IAR, and FN SCAR MK 16/16S. Made in the USA.
