Description
The Magpul PMAG 25 ICAR GEN M3 is purpose-built for the SureFire ICAR Carbine chambered in 6mm ARC, filling a role that standard AR-pattern magazines cannot. Because the 6mm ARC cartridge is dimensionally distinct from 5.56 NATO and .308 Win, running the wrong magazine body risks feed failures; this one is designed from the ground up around the 6mm ARC case geometry to keep the feed angle and follower geometry correct for that specific round.
The 25-round capacity strikes a practical balance for a carbine platform: enough ammunition on board to reduce reloads during a sustained string, without the added length and weight that a higher-count magazine would impose on a carbine-length host. The GEN M3 body follows Magpul’s third-generation construction, which incorporates a flared floorplate for easier stripping under stress, a reinforced feed tower, and an over-insertion stop to prevent the magazine from being seated too deeply and binding against the bolt carrier.
A transparent window is integrated into the rear of the body, letting the shooter get a quick read on remaining rounds without removing the magazine from the gun. This matters most during a course of fire or any situation where a dedicated chamber check is not practical. The body is polymer throughout, keeping weight down while providing enough rigidity to maintain consistent feeding across temperature extremes. The black finish is Magpul’s standard color offering for this model, designated BLK in their lineup.
