Description

The Magpul Pro 700 chassis is built for precision rifle shooters who need a purpose-designed platform around the Remington 700 short action — whether for long-range target work, field use, or duty applications. It is not an adaptive retrofit; the entire system is engineered around that action from the ground up, which means the fit and bedding geometry reflect intentional design rather than compromise.

The foundation is a 6061-T6 billet aluminum V-bedding block, which contacts the action directly and consistently, eliminating the pressure-point variation that comes with traditional stock bedding over time. Polymer body panels keep overall weight in check while the structural work is handled by the aluminum core and the steel components — the folding hinge and ambidextrous magazine release are both Melonite-treated steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and surface hardness in environments where a precision chassis actually earns its keep.

The folding hinge uses a push-button mechanism and is reversible for left or right fold using a 5/32″ hex wrench, which matters for shooters who carry the rifle in confined spaces or need to work from unconventional positions. An overall length-of-pull range running from 13.25″ to 15.125″, a 1″ comb height adjustment range, and a three-position cheek riser mean the chassis can be dialed to fit the shooter rather than forcing the shooter to adapt to a fixed geometry — a meaningful advantage when running magnified optics at a consistent cheek weld.

The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well accepts a broad range of widely available detachable magazines. M-LOK slots on the forend allow direct attachment of bipods, lights, or other accessories without adding a separate rail section. A mount point for clip-on night vision and thermal devices is also integrated, positioned inline so optical alignment is maintained. The chassis ships in Flat Dark Earth with an included secondary grip option, letting shooters tailor hand fit without additional purchase.
