The Magpul Pro 700L is a full-featured precision rifle chassis built for shooters who need a genuinely adaptable long-range platform around a Remington 700 long action or any rifle sharing that footprint. It is the kind of system that works out of the box for both right- and left-handed shooters, because the bolt-cutout plate swaps with a hex wrench rather than requiring a different chassis altogether.

The skeleton is machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a Type III hard anodized finish, then clad in injection-molded polymer at contact points where bare aluminum would transfer cold, generate noise, or create discomfort over a long day behind the rifle. The V-bedding block design keeps the action consistently indexed without the inconsistencies that come from pillar-and-glass solutions that shift with temperature or handling.

Every adjustable surface here addresses a real fit variable. Length of pull moves across nearly two inches of range, so the chassis can accommodate different shooter builds or changes in clothing weight between seasons. The butt pad adjusts vertically and cants laterally, the cheek riser adjusts for height and slides fore and aft in three positions, and the grip ships with two interchangeable inserts offering different sweep angles — these adjustments interact, so a shooter can dial in a consistent natural point of aim rather than compensating for a chassis that almost fits.

The folding hinge is cast 4140 steel with a Melonite finish and reverses for left- or right-side fold. It clears the bolt handle when closed, which matters when the chassis needs to be packed down without removing the bolt. The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well is optimized for PMAG 5 AC L magazines in both standard and magnum configurations, while remaining compatible with most other AICS long-action patterns. M-LOK slots run the forend on three sides and continue into the stock, and QD sling points are built in with rotation-limited steel swivel mounts.
