Description
The Magpul Pro 700L is a precision rifle chassis built for long action Remington 700 and Remington 700-footprint rifles, aimed at serious precision shooters who want a platform that fits them rather than requiring them to adapt. The core structure is a fully machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum skeleton with a Type III hard anodized finish, giving it the rigidity needed for consistent bedding without adding unnecessary mass. High-strength injection-molded polymer body covers are positioned to manage heat transfer and reduce handling noise — two details that matter when the rifle is in the field for extended periods.
The V-bedding block indexes the action directly against machined aluminum surfaces, which removes the variables introduced by pillar bedding compound in traditional stocks. Converting the chassis from right- to left-hand operation requires only a swap of the bolt-cutout plate, reversing the QD sling swivel plate and bolt retainer insert with a 1/8-inch hex wrench — no gunsmithing required. The folding stock uses a push-button 4140 cast steel hinge with a Melonite finish, and the hinge itself is reversible so the stock can fold to either side depending on how the rifle will be stored or carried. When folded, the bolt handle remains clear of the hinge, which preserves compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket bolt handles and knobs.
Length of pull adjusts across a 13.25- to 15.125-inch range, and comb height travels a full inch with a secondary lock to prevent unwanted movement under recoil. The cheek riser also offers three fore-and-aft positions to account for differences in bolt shroud length across actions. The forend carries M-LOK slots on the left, right, and bottom — 19 total on the forend alone — allowing bipod mounts, lights, and other accessories without adapter rails. The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well accepts standard long action AICS-pattern magazines and is optimized for Magpul PMAG 5 AC L Standard and Magnum magazines, which ship with the chassis. Two grip profiles are included to suit different hand sizes and shooting positions. Made in the U.S.A.
