Description
The Magpul PRS GEN3 is built for precision semi-automatic work — the kind of deliberate, supported shooting done from a bench, a bipod, or a field position where your cheek weld and length of pull need to be exactly repeatable, not close enough. It fits AR-15/M16 and AR-10/SR25 platforms and installs on rifle-length, mil-spec carbine, and A5-length receiver extensions, which means it moves between hosts without requiring a dedicated tube.
Both length of pull and cheek piece height are adjusted through machined aluminum knobs with click detents, and neither requires a tool. The detents matter here because they hold position under recoil rather than drifting, so the settings you dial in at the range are the settings you come back to. The adjustment shafts themselves are steel finished with Melonite for wear and corrosion resistance — a meaningful detail on components that see constant fine movement. All aluminum parts receive MIL-A-8625F Type III hard anodizing, the same hard-coat standard used on mil-spec receivers.
The butt-pad is rubber for shoulder purchase and can be adjusted for both cant and height, letting you tune the toe of the stock to match your body geometry rather than adapting your mount to the stock. An enhanced-strength butt-plate is rated to handle the impulse of cartridges up to .50 BMG, which covers everything an AR-10 will realistically chamber. Bottom M-LOK slots allow a rear monopod rail to be fitted when the shooting position demands it. Sling attachment options include rotation-limited QD cups front and rear and a reversible 1.25-inch aluminum loop at the rear. Finished here in Magpul’s Stealth Gray. Made in the USA.
