Description

The Magpul PRS GEN3 is built for the shooter who wants a repeatable, stable platform for precision semi-automatic work — whether that means stretching the range of a varmint rifle or running a dedicated long-range AR build. It fits both AR-15/M16 and AR-10/SR-25 receiver extensions, with the design optimized around rifle-length tubes while remaining compatible with many mil-spec carbine and A5-length extensions.

The core appeal is tool-free adjustability at both ends of the fit equation. Length of pull and cheek piece height are dialed in via machined aluminum knobs with positive click detents, so settings hold under recoil rather than walking loose over a course of fire. The steel adjustment shafts carry a Melonite finish, which resists surface wear and corrosion — meaningful on a stock that will see repeated adjustment in the field. The rubber buttpad adjusts for both cant and height independently, letting the shooter match shoulder geometry precisely rather than compromising between the two. The buttplate itself is built to handle recoil through the heavy end of the semi-automatic spectrum.

Sling mounting is handled through rotation-limiting QD swivel cups, which prevent the sling from twisting under load and keep the swivel oriented consistently. A fixed 1.25-inch aluminum sling loop provides an additional anchor point. M-LOK slots on the underside accept a monopod rail, which is where this stock earns its keep on a supported precision setup — adding a rear rest point without requiring permanent modification.
