MAGPUL SLING MOUNT KIT TYPE 1

Description

The Magpul Sling Mount Kit – Type 1 adds a dedicated push-button QD sling attachment point to several of Magpul’s most common rifle and shotgun stocks. Rather than relying on improvised loops or aftermarket hardware that can shift under load, this kit integrates directly into the stock’s existing geometry on either side, letting you choose left- or right-hand sling routing without compromising the stock’s fit or feel.

Compatible stocks include the SGA, MOE Rifle, MOE Fixed Carbine, MOE AK, Zhukov-S, Hunter 700, and Hunter X-22. That range of compatibility matters because each of those platforms has a different receiver geometry and stock profile — a mount designed for one won’t necessarily interface cleanly with another. Magpul engineered this kit specifically for each of those fits, so the hardware seats flush and the swivel socket sits at a consistent, repeatable angle relative to the buttstock.

Construction is steel with a black phosphate finish, which resists corrosion without adding unnecessary weight at the rear of the rifle. The phosphate treatment also provides a low-glare surface that doesn’t require the careful handling that a polished finish would. Installation hardware is included. Push-button QD swivels are not — the kit accepts standard QD swivels, including Magpul’s own QDM, but you’ll source those separately based on the sling system you’re already running.
