Description

The Magpul SSG Selector Set was developed at the direct request of a military unit preparing for deployment — operators who needed more confident, repeatable selector actuation under field conditions. That origin shapes what this part is and what it solves: the factory FN SCAR selector works, but it offers less tactile feedback and a narrower lever profile than some shooters prefer, particularly when running the weapon with gloves or under stress.

The SSG installs on both the MK16 and MK17 platforms in their military select-fire configurations, as well as the civilian SCAR 16S and 17S semi-automatic rifles. It is a true drop-in replacement — no permanent modification to the receiver, no fitting, no gunsmithing required. The existing OEM set screw retains the new selector, so installation requires only basic tools you likely already have.

The selector is dual-sided, meaning both the left and right levers are replaced, giving the same improved purchase and throw regardless of which hand is working the control. The polymer construction keeps the part light while resisting the corrosion and dimensional creep that can affect metal components in hard-use environments. Made in the U.S.A. by Magpul.
