Description
Magpul’s Suppressor Cover is built for shooters who run a suppressor on a host weapon and need to manage the heat that builds up during sustained fire. Suppressors get hot quickly, and an unprotected tube presents a burn hazard when the weapon is slung, transitioned, or handled in tight spaces. This cover slips over the suppressor body to provide a thermal barrier between the hot metal and anything it contacts — gear, vehicles, hands, or a support-side arm during a supported hold.
The 5.5-inch length is sized to cover the bulk of a compact suppressor without adding unnecessary bulk to the overall package. The Medium Coyote Tan finish is Magpul’s own designation — not a generic tan — and coordinates with the broader Magpul color family if color consistency across your setup matters to you.
Construction uses a combination of steel and polymer resin, which balances the structural rigidity needed to hold shape under heat with enough compliance to seat securely over a range of suppressor diameters. The cover is designed to be field-removable rather than a permanent attachment, so it can be added or stripped without tools when the situation calls for it.
This is a practical accessory rather than a cosmetic one. If your workflow involves a suppressed rifle or pistol-caliber host in any environment where contact with the suppressor is likely, the cover reduces the consequence of that contact without meaningfully changing the profile of the weapon.
