Description

The Magpul Hunter X-22 is a drop-in chassis stock built for shooters who want a more ergonomic, configurable platform out of the Ruger 10/22 without modifying the receiver or buying a new rifle. It suits rimfire competitors, small-game hunters, and plinkers who find the factory walnut or synthetic stock limiting in fit or accessory options.

The reinforced polymer construction keeps weight down while the integrated design fully encloses the action, giving the rifle a more consistent hold-to-hold feel than a traditional barrel-band stock. The grip is set at a 60-degree angle from the bore axis, which places the wrist in a more neutral position and reduces the tendency to torque the muzzle during the trigger press — a meaningful difference on a rifle where the trigger itself often gets the blame for poor groups.

Length of pull adjusts across a two-inch range using 0.50-inch spacers, so the same stock can fit a compact shooter and a tall one without buying separate components. Optional cheek riser kits let you dial in comb height independently, which matters once a scope or red dot is mounted and the factory comb height no longer puts your eye on the glass cleanly.

A reversible barrel tray accommodates both pencil-profile and heavy bull barrels up to 0.920 inches in diameter, so the stock does not become obsolete if the barrel is upgraded later. M-LOK slots on the forend sides and bottom accept a wide range of accessories and sling hardware directly, eliminating the need for proprietary adapters.
