Description

The MDT Field Stock is a drop-in replacement for shooters who want a meaningful accuracy and ergonomics upgrade over a factory Savage short-action stock without moving to a full chassis system. It suits hunters and long-range enthusiasts who prefer a traditional stock profile over the tactical look of a chassis, but still want the mechanical advantages one provides.

At its core is a 6061 aluminum inner chassis overmolded with polymer. The aluminum spine keeps the action rigid and repeatable under recoil, while the polymer shell retains heat better than bare metal in cold-weather field conditions — a practical consideration when a hunting morning starts well below freezing. The integrated aluminum V-block bedding locks the action into a consistent position, and the barrel channel is cut to allow the barrel to float freely, so pressure changes from field positions or a warm bore do not shift the point of impact.

The forend accepts M-LOK accessories directly, so you can mount a bipod, sling hardware, or other gear without adapters. Sling swivel studs are also included for conventional sling attachment. Magazine feeding runs on AICS-pattern magazines, giving you a wide selection of aftermarket options in various capacities. The cheek riser adjusts for height, which matters when switching between a scope and iron sights or fitting the rifle to different shooters, and length of pull is set through a spacer system that provides approximately one inch of range — enough to accommodate most adult builds without accessories.

The stock is finished in Black and is right-hand configured for Savage short-action barreled receivers.
