Description
The MDT Field Stock is built for Tikka T3/T3x owners who want meaningful mechanical improvements over the factory stock without abandoning the familiar, traditionally shaped profile that works well in the field. It suits hunters who need a reliable carry gun, as well as shooters working on long-range precision from a hunting-weight platform.
The structural foundation is a 6061 aluminum core with an overmolded polymer body. That combination matters because bare aluminum would conduct cold to your hands on a winter hunt, while a pure polymer stock lacks the rigidity needed for repeatable bedding. The polymer shell addresses comfort; the aluminum core addresses accuracy. Bedding is handled by an integrated V-block system machined into that core, which captures the action consistently so barrel harmonics stay predictable shot to shot. The barrel rides free-floating, meaning forend pressure from grip or bipod load does not translate into point-of-impact shift.
Fit adjustment is built in rather than afterthought: the cheek riser moves to place your eye on the scope’s axis, and a spacer system lets you dial length of pull across a usable range to suit different clothing layers or shooter builds. The M-LOK forend accepts standard accessory panels, so a bipod, sling anchor, or light mount can be positioned where it actually helps rather than where a single fixed stud allows. The stock also accepts AICS-pattern magazines, which broadens your feeding options beyond the factory Tikka magazine format.
