Description
The MDT GRND-POD is a precision rifle bipod built for shooters who want a serious platform without paying a premium for features they will actually use. It mounts directly to a Picatinny rail, so there is no adapter hardware between the bipod head and the rifle, keeping the interface solid and repeatable.
The legs are built around a 6061-T6 aluminum core wrapped in carbon fiber, which keeps weight down without sacrificing the stiffness that matters when you are loading into the bipod to manage recoil between shots. High-strength polymer buttons handle leg deployment, letting you pop each leg independently with one hand — useful when you are working from an uneven surface and need one leg extended farther than the other. There are four locking positions at 0, 50, 90, and 180 degrees, giving you the geometry to work from a bench, prone, or over a pack.
Height adjusts across a range that covers low prone through elevated field positions. The cant system allows up to 32 degrees of rotation to level the rifle on side-hill terrain, and the tension on that cant is adjustable without tools, so you can dial in how freely the head pivots to suit your technique and conditions. Feet are swappable, which means you can change ground interface material to match the surface you are shooting from. At one pound and half an ounce, the GRND-POD adds minimal weight to a precision build while covering the functional requirements that matter most in field and range use.
