Description

Most factory and aftermarket pistol grips are a compromise — shaped for average hands and made from materials that either feel slick under pressure or add unnecessary bulk. MDT designed the Pistol Grip Elite from the ground up for bolt-action chassis work, though its standard AR-15 interface means it drops straight onto any AR lower without modification. That dual compatibility makes it a practical upgrade for shooters running MDT chassis systems who also want consistent grip geometry across their rifles.

The construction pairs a rigid polymer core with a Santoprene rubber overmold. The core provides the structural integrity needed to handle the torque of a bolt-action firing cycle, while the Santoprene layer absorbs vibration and gives the surface enough grip that the hand stays put without requiring a white-knuckle hold. The overmold is lightly textured and channeled rather than aggressively stippled, which keeps it comfortable during long strings of fire without sacrificing purchase in wet or cold conditions.

Integrated palm swells on both sides of the grip body let the hand settle into a consistent position shot to shot — a meaningful advantage for precision work where grip pressure and wrist angle directly affect trigger pull consistency. The symmetrical design serves right- and left-handed shooters equally without requiring separate configurations. At 0.19 lb, it adds negligible weight to any build, and the Black finish is the same color designation MDT uses across its chassis lineup for those building a matched system.
