Description
The MDT M-LOK Exterior Forend Weights are built for precision rifle shooters who want direct control over how their rifle balances and behaves under recoil. Adding mass forward of the action shifts the rifle’s balance point toward the muzzle, which reduces the angular momentum that drives muzzle rise and makes it easier to track your point of impact through the shot — a meaningful advantage when self-spotting in a match or hunting environment where a fast second shot matters.
These weights mount directly to any M-LOK-compatible chassis or stock using standard hardware and M-LOK T-nuts, so installation and removal take only a few minutes without permanent modification. Because they attach to the exterior of the forend rather than to an internal cavity, you can position them to fine-tune the balance point rather than simply adding bulk. The pair gives you two mounting positions to work with, and you can run both or just one depending on how your rifle currently sits in the bags or off the shoulder.
Each weight includes a QD flush cup, which solves a problem that arises specifically with weighted-up competition rifles: the forend often becomes the most practical sling attachment point, and a flush cup keeps that option clean and snag-free rather than requiring a separate rail-mounted sling socket. The mounting system relies on the same M-LOK hardware already on your chassis, so there is no proprietary tooling or hardware to track down. Sold as a pair under MDT part number 107320-BLK in black finish.
