Description
The MDT SRS-XF Premier Folding Buttstock is built for precision rifle shooters who need a compact carry package without giving up a solid lockup at the firing line. It attaches to any MDT chassis running the XTN interface with a single screw, making the conversion straightforward and reversible. When folded, a generously sized clearance pocket lets the stock pass over most factory and aftermarket bolt handles without requiring any bolt or handle adjustment first — a meaningful convenience on a bolt gun where handle geometry varies widely by action.
The folding mechanism itself locks in both the open and closed positions, so there is no unwanted movement during a carry and no slop when the stock is deployed. Folding direction is reversible, which matters for left-handed chassis and for certain actions like the Ruger American where the bolt handle position would otherwise conflict with the fold path. Four length-of-pull spacers are included to dial in fit, and the system is also compatible with MDT’s Buttstock Weight and LOP Spacer Weight for shooters who want to tune rifle balance rather than just fit. The skeletonized aluminum body keeps weight down while maintaining structural rigidity under recoil. The adjustable cheek piece runs low-profile specifically to clear bolt handles as the action is cycled, which is a practical consideration on a stock intended for bolt-action use. An M-LOK slot on the underside accepts MDT bag riders, and QD sling cups are integrated into the chassis. The stock is not compatible with AR-platform rifles.
