Description

The MDT XRS is built for shooters who want the ergonomic familiarity of a traditional hunting stock without giving up the adjustability and accessory mounting that a modern precision chassis provides. It fits the CZ 457 action and is aimed at rimfire competitors, backcountry hunters, and anyone building a capable small-bore rifle that needs to work across multiple roles rather than being optimized for just one.

The core is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum, which keeps the chassis dimensionally consistent for bedding purposes while the polymer outer panels reduce heat transfer from cold or warm conditions to the shooter’s hands. The V-block bedding system clamps the action consistently rather than relying on pillar-and-epoxy bedding, so the fit between chassis and action stays repeatable shot to shot. The grip system uses an over-molded rubber-textured insert and ships with two grip options — one angled, one vertical — so the shooter can match hand position to their preferred shooting style without buying additional parts.

Length of pull adjusts through a spacer system spanning a range that accommodates a wide variety of shooter builds, and the cheek piece adjusts independently to match scope height above bore rather than forcing a compromise between the two. The forend runs 12 inches and is slotted for M-LOK, which allows direct attachment of accessories or an ARCA or Picatinny rail section wherever the shooter needs it rather than at a fixed point. The magazine interface uses the AICS pattern, broadening the selection of available magazines, and the latch is ambidextrous. At approximately 3.9 pounds depending on the inlet configuration, the XRS adds meaningful rigidity over a factory stock without becoming a burden on a carry rifle.
