Description

The MDT XRS is built for shooters who want to move past a factory stock without committing to a full competition chassis setup. It fits the Remington 700 short action and is equally at home on a hunting rifle or a precision target build — the design deliberately avoids the bulk and hard edges that make dedicated competition chassis awkward in the field.

The core is CNC-machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, which provides the rigidity needed for consistent barrel harmonics and repeatable point of impact. High-strength textured polymer panels wrap that core, cutting down on thermal transfer so the chassis stays manageable in cold or wet conditions. Bedding is handled by a precision aluminum V-block system, which locks the action into a stable, repeatable interface rather than relying on pillar-and-epoxy fitment or a pressure-point stock design.

Length of pull adjusts from 13.25 inches to over 15 inches through a spacer system, so the rifle can be dialed in for different shooters or different clothing without tools. A quick-adjust cheek piece lets you set cheek weld height to match your optic’s centerline rather than forcing a compromise position. Both an angled grip panel and a vertical grip panel are included, which matters because grip angle directly affects wrist alignment and where your trigger finger contacts the shoe — a small change that adds up over a long session.

The 12-inch forend carries M-LOK slots along its length, giving you attachment points for ARCA rails, Picatinny sections, bipods, or hand stops without committing to a fixed rail up front. An integrated barricade stop and ambidextrous magazine latch round out a chassis that handles AICS-pattern magazines. The Flat Dark Earth finish is MDT’s own, not a generic coating designation.
