Description

The MDT XRS chassis is built for the shooter who wants to move a factory Ruger American short-action rifle into a more capable platform without abandoning the familiar feel of a traditional stock profile. It occupies a practical middle ground: the silhouette reads like a conventional hunting rifle, but the underlying architecture is a full precision chassis system.

The structural core is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum along its full length, giving the action a rigid, consistent foundation. High-strength polymer panels wrap that core, providing both texture for grip and a degree of insulation from temperature extremes. The aluminum V-block bedding system indexes the action precisely, which removes the variability that comes with pillar-bedded fiberglass or wood stocks and directly supports repeatable accuracy.

The grip system uses replaceable over-molded panels, and MDT includes both an angled grip and a vertical grip so the shooter can match the setup to their hold preference without sourcing additional parts. Length of pull adjusts through a spacer system across a range wide enough to fit most adult shooters, and the cheekpiece adjusts quickly to align the eye with whatever scope height the rifle is running. Both adjustments are made without tools.

The forend is 12 inches long and carries M-LOK slots throughout, which allows direct attachment of ARCA-compatible rails or Picatinny sections depending on how the rifle will be supported. The chassis accepts standard AICS-pattern magazines, so feeding options are broad, and the magazine latch is ambidextrous. At 3.9 pounds, the XRS adds meaningful rigidity without making the rifle impractical to carry in the field.
