The 22-inch barrel is finished in Cerakote Stainless, a coating that bonds directly to the steel and resists moisture and abrasion better than bare stainless would on its own — a genuine advantage for a rifle that will spend time in wet brush or a wet truck bed. Fluting along the barrel reduces weight without shortening it, which preserves the velocity the .350 Legend needs to perform at the distances this cartridge is designed for.
