Description
The Night Fision Optic Plate and Backup Sight Combo is built for CZ P-10 owners who have already committed to running a red dot and want a mounting solution that also addresses what happens when the optic goes down. Rather than treating the optic plate and backup sights as separate purchases, this package combines both into a single install.
The plate itself is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its strength under the cyclic stress of slide recoil rather than for cosmetic reasons. A nitride finish over that substrate adds surface hardness and corrosion resistance without meaningfully changing the plate’s dimensions. The package is designed around the RMR and Holosun 507C footprint, which share a common mounting pattern, so the plate works with either optic without adapters.
The backup sights are positioned for lower-third co-witness, meaning they sit below the optic’s window during normal use and only come into view when the shooter drops their head slightly or the optic is removed. That geometry keeps the sights out of the way while the red dot is functional but puts them at a usable reference point immediately if it isn’t. The sights and plate ship as a matched system, so the co-witness relationship is engineered in rather than left to the shooter to sort out after the fact.
Installation hardware and a purpose-built tool are included. The tool carries a T10 Torx head for the mounting screws and a small flat-head for sight adjustments, so the initial setup does not require a separate tool purchase. Extra screws are also in the box, which matters for a small part that can be misplaced during a bench install.
