Description
The Night Fision Optic Plate + Backup Sight Combo is built for Springfield Hellcat owners who want to mount a Holosun 507K—or any optic sharing that footprint—without giving up reliable iron sights in the process. Rather than forcing a choice between a red dot and a traditional sight picture, this kit integrates both into a single installation.
The optic plate is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its resistance to corrosion and its ability to hold precise dimensions under the repeated stress of slide cycling. A nitride finish adds a further layer of surface hardness without meaningfully increasing thickness—the plate sits at 0.08 inches, keeping the optic as low as the Hellcat’s slide geometry allows.
The backup sights are set up for lower one-third co-witness, meaning the iron sight picture sits in the lower portion of the optic window rather than centered through it. This keeps the dot’s field of view clear during normal use while still allowing a fast transition to irons if the optic fails or loses power. The front sight uses a tritium insert with a yellow ring, which gives the eye a distinct aiming point in low light without requiring an active power source. The rear is a blank serrated design—no dots, no rings—so the eye is drawn directly to the front post rather than trying to reconcile competing visual elements.
Installation hardware and a tool are included in the kit, which covers the full transition from factory slide to optic-ready carry configuration in one purchase.
