Description
The Night Fision Optic Plate + Backup Sight Combo is built for Glock 43X and 48 MOS Slimline owners who want to mount a Holosun EPS Carry—or any optic sharing that footprint—without sacrificing the ability to get a sight picture if the optic goes down. The two problems it solves simultaneously are secure optic mounting and reliable iron backup, packaged so both are addressed in a single installation.
The plate itself is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its resistance to deformation under the repeated stress of slide cycling, and finished with a nitride coating that handles corrosion and surface wear without adding meaningful thickness. At approximately 0.2 inches, the plate keeps the optic low enough that the included backup sights can establish a lower one-third co-witness—meaning the irons sit in the lower portion of the optic’s window rather than bisecting it, so the sight picture stays uncluttered during normal use but the irons are immediately available without repositioning your eye.
The front sight uses a tritium vial surrounded by a bright yellow ring, which gives you a fast, high-contrast aiming reference in reduced light. The rear is a blank, serrated blade—the serrations cut glare, and the absence of dots or rings keeps your focus on the front post where it belongs. Hardware and an installation tool are included, so the setup does not require sourcing additional fasteners or improvising with a bench tool.
This combo makes the most sense for a carry pistol where the MOS cut is already present and the goal is a purpose-fit mounting solution rather than an adapter stack.
