The Noveske Skinny Rail is built for AR-15 owners who are serious about trimming weight without giving up mounting flexibility. Free-float construction takes the forend off the barrel entirely, which eliminates the variable pressure a shooter’s grip or a sling would otherwise put on it — a meaningful factor for anyone who wants consistent point of impact across different shooting positions.

The extrusion is 6005A-T5 aluminum, a structural alloy that gives a better strength-to-weight ratio than the more common 6061, and it receives a Type III Hard Coat Anodize that holds up to field use rather than just looking good on a shelf. At 5.6 ounces, the 9-inch version adds very little to the front end of the rifle, which matters when you’re carrying it or working from a barricade where muzzle-heavy balance becomes a liability.

M-LOK slots run along the handguard’s perimeter, letting you position lights, lasers, or grip panels at exactly the angle and location you actually need them rather than accepting whatever the nearest Picatinny section happens to offer. There is also a top Picatinny rail for optics or iron sights, so the two mounting systems complement each other rather than compete. The kit ships with a steel barrel nut, mounting hardware, and a T25 wrench, so you have what you need to do the installation without sourcing parts separately.
