Otis Technology’s sectional rod cleaning kit is built for shooters who want a dedicated, purpose-matched solution for .22 rimfire, .22 LR, .223, and 5.56 NATO rifles and pistols rather than a one-size-fits-all cable pull-through. The foundation of the kit is four brass rod sections that thread together end to end, giving you a rigid push rod long enough to work a rifle bore from breech to muzzle without switching to a flexible cable. Brass is softer than steel, so the rods and included pierce point jag won’t score the rifling or damage a crown if they contact the bore during a pass.

Threading is 8-32 male/female on each section, and the swivel handle at the top of the assembled rod lets the brush or mop rotate freely as it follows the rifling rather than torquing against it. That rotation matters: a bronze phosphor bore brush that can spin through the lands scrubs more evenly and with less side-load on the rod than one that drags straight through. The cotton bore mop works the same way, soaking up solvent and fouling without pressing hard against one side of the bore wall.

A brass component adapter is included to handle the thread conversion between accessories, and 100 pre-cut 1-inch square patches give you plenty of material for wet passes and dry follow-throughs on a full cleaning session. The nylon all-purpose brush covers action parts, feed ramps, and exterior surfaces where the bore brush won’t reach. A half-ounce bottle of Otis FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP rounds out the kit so you can clean, lubricate, and protect in a single session without needing a separate bottle. All machined components are made in the USA.
