The Otis Tactical Cleaning Kit is the company’s original all-in-one field kit, designed for shooters who need a single compact solution for maintaining rifles, pistols, and shotguns across a wide range of calibers. It traces its lineage back to Otis’s earliest universal kit and remains built and assembled in Lyons Falls, New York.

At the core of the system are Memory-Flex cables machined from aircraft-grade material in three lengths — 8″, 30″, and 34″ — that route through the action and bore from breech to muzzle. That direction matters: pushing a rod from the muzzle back risks damaging the crown and depositing fouling at the chamber end. The cables flex to follow any bore geometry, so in most cases the firearm doesn’t need to be field-stripped before cleaning. The 34″ cable carries a 5-40 thread and a slotted tip sized to work down to .17 caliber bores.

Six bronze bore brushes cover the most common centerfire and rimfire chamberings, with the caliber designation stamped directly on each brush stem so there’s no guessing under field conditions. The 100% cotton patches are sized to form a proper swab when threaded through the slotted tips, providing contact around the full circumference of the bore rather than dragging a patch through with minimal wall contact. Two patch savers retain used patches for disposal rather than pushing them loose inside the action. Small and large obstruction removers address the practical field problem of mud, snow, or a stuck case interfering with the bore.

Everything fits into a 4″ x 4″ x 2.5″ soft pack case, and a half-ounce bottle of Shooter’s Choice FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP is included so the kit is ready to use without a separate supply run.
