Most shotgun owners end up with more than one gun in the rack, and those guns rarely share the same gauge. Otis built this kit around that reality, putting everything needed to properly clean both 12 and 20 gauge shotguns into a single plastic case. Rather than buying separate single-gauge kits, you get one organized solution that covers the two most common gauges in the field or at the range.

The foundation of the kit is solid brass rod sections, which thread together to build the length needed to push through a shotgun bore without flexing or snagging. Brass is the material of choice here because it is harder than fouling but softer than steel, so it scrubs effectively without risking damage to the bore or choke threads. The bronze bore brushes follow the same logic, providing enough stiffness to break up powder residue and shot fouling while remaining safe for the bore surface.

Cotton mops handle the follow-through work, soaking up solvent and pulling loosened debris out of the barrel after the brush has done its job. Both the brushes and mops are marked on the stem with their gauge designation, so there is no guesswork about which tool belongs to which gun during a cleaning session.
