The Proof Research Elevation 2.0 is built for hunters and precision shooters who want a capable bolt-action rifle in a compact, packable format. The 18-inch barrel makes the rifle easier to carry through dense country and handle from field positions, while still giving the .22 Creedmoor enough velocity to perform as a flat-shooting, low-recoil cartridge well suited to predator hunting and long-range target work at moderate distances.

The .22 Creedmoor itself is a handloader’s and barrel-burner’s alternative to the 6mm Creedmoor family — it pushes light, high-BC .224-caliber projectiles at high velocity while generating modest recoil and barrel heat.
