Description
The Elevation 2.0 is built for hunters and precision shooters who want a rifle they can carry through rough country without sacrificing the barrel quality that long-range work demands. Proof Research wraps a match-grade steel core in carbon fiber to shed weight while maintaining the rigidity and heat dissipation you would expect from a heavier all-steel tube — the result is a barrel that handles back-to-back strings at the range without the accuracy degradation that comes from thermal walk in a lighter contour. The Sendero profile threads the needle between the skinny sporter barrels found on most hunting rifles and the heavy varmint profiles that most hunters will not carry far.
The Zermatt Arms Origin action gives the rifle a foundation known for tight receiver-to-barrel-tenon fit and a bolt face machined specifically for the cartridge, which matters for feeding consistency with a magnum-length round under field conditions. The TriggerTech trigger provides a rolling-contact break that avoids the gritty take-up common to mil-spec-style designs, making it easier to maintain consistent pull weight across temperature swings. A single-piece pinned Picatinny rail gives the optics mount a fixed reference point — no lapping rings over separate bases, no potential for misalignment between two independently torqued pieces.
The 1-in-10 twist rate is well-suited to the range of hunting and match bullets commonly loaded in .300 Winchester Magnum, from mid-weight cup-and-core projectiles up through the high-BC long-for-caliber options that have become the standard for extended-range work. The barrel is threaded 5/8-24 with a thread protector installed. The Tactical Flat Dark Earth carbon fiber stock has a fixed length of pull of 13 5/8 inches and is finished to match the barrel wrap — this is a right-hand configuration.
