The barrel is a Sendero-contour carbon fiber wrapped, match-grade, threaded unit — a construction method that sheds weight relative to a comparable steel profile while also dissipating heat more quickly during a string of fire. That wrapped construction also damps barrel harmonics differently than bare steel, which contributes to the sub-MOA accuracy guarantee Proof Research backs this rifle with.
