Description

The PWS BDE 556 is a modular 5.56/.223 suppressor built for shooters who want meaningful flexibility in how they configure their rifle setup without carrying unnecessary weight. Primary Weapons Systems constructed it primarily from aerospace-grade titanium using a direct metal laser sintering process for the blast chamber and primary baffle section, with the distal modular baffles and end cap machined from the same material. That hybrid approach keeps the overall weight down while preserving the structural integrity needed to handle the sustained gas pressures generated by short-barreled hosts.

The modular baffle system is the defining feature here. Baffles are removable and taper-threaded, which serves two purposes: the taper geometry resists carbon lockup between baffle interfaces, and removing sections lets you trade overall length for a different sound signature depending on the situation. The rear of the suppressor uses the 1.375×24 TPI HUB pattern, which is a widely adopted universal standard that gives you access to a broad range of quick-detach and direct-thread mounting solutions beyond what ships in the box.

Symmetrical internal baffle notches are machined to promote consistent gas distribution around the bore centerline, which helps preserve point of impact when the suppressor is attached. The exterior carries a DLC coating for corrosion resistance and surface hardness, and the textured outer surface is designed to break up heat mirage that would otherwise distort the sight picture over a warm barrel. The low-backpressure baffle geometry reduces the volume of hot gas pushed back into the action, which matters practically for gas-impingement rifles where excess backpressure accelerates fouling and can affect reliability.
