Description
The SOCOM762-MINI2 is SureFire’s compact option within the SOCOM suppressor line, built for 7.62 mm rifles running 16-inch or longer barrels. Where full-size suppressors trade handling for maximum sound reduction, this one is engineered to keep the weapon as maneuverable as possible while still delivering a meaningful signature reduction — a meaningful trade-off for anyone who runs a 7.62 platform in confined spaces or wants to stay closer to the rifle’s original balance.
The suppressor body is constructed from Inconel alloy and stainless steel, CNC laser-welded for structural integrity across sustained fire, including full-auto use. Inconel is a high-temperature nickel alloy chosen specifically for its resistance to heat-induced deformation, which matters when round counts climb quickly. The internal baffling geometry is designed to redirect gas flow in a way that reduces back pressure feeding back into the action — lower back pressure translates directly to a slower cyclic rate and less heat and carbon pushed into the bolt carrier group.
A phenomenon called first-round flash occurs when residual oxygen inside an unfired suppressor ignites on the first shot, producing a visible fireball that no amount of sound reduction addresses. SureFire’s Total Signature Reduction technology is specifically aimed at suppressing that flash alongside the sound signature, which matters for low-light use. The Fast-Attach mounting system is compatible with SureFire’s range of muzzle devices and allows tool-free attachment and removal. Point-of-impact shift when running suppressed is present but consistent, which means a shooter can zero for one condition and reliably predict the offset in the other. The SOCOM762-MINI2 ships with a FirstSpear MOLLE pouch and cleaning brush. Designed and manufactured in the USA.
