Description

The PWS BDE is a modular pistol-caliber suppressor built around 3D-printed aerospace-grade titanium — a construction method that produces a structure lighter than traditionally machined titanium while retaining the material’s strength and corrosion resistance. That combination matters for a handgun suppressor, where added muzzle weight affects the balance and cycle reliability of the host pistol more noticeably than it does on a long gun.

The baffle stack is taper-threaded rather than straight-threaded. Taper threading keeps baffles from carbon-locking over time, a common maintenance headache with suppressors that see high round counts, and it also prevents the stack from gradually loosening under firing vibration. The modular design means baffles can be removed to shorten the unit, which lets the shooter trade some suppression performance for a more compact package depending on the application.

Internal baffle notches are symmetrical, which keeps the bore axis consistent through the full stack and avoids point-of-impact shift that asymmetric baffle designs can introduce. The exterior surface texture is not purely cosmetic — it serves to break up heat mirage rising from the suppressor body during sustained fire, which would otherwise distort the sight picture for an aimed shot. The finish is a PVD coating over Type 2 anodizing, chosen for durability rather than appearance alone. The suppressor ships with a 1/2×28 piston and spring, two wrenches, and an owner’s manual, and its 1.125×28 TPI mount interface is compatible with a wide range of standard suppressor mounting systems.
